I’ve had this idea for a while to display miniature print outs of my art. I have hundreds of little works of art as digital files, in sketchbooks, and on scrap paper.
I looked through them and it reminded me of what it felt like to be more innovative, experimental, and who I was before I started comparing my artwork to everyone else. There’s a balance between inspiration from other artists and feeling like your art isn’t good enough to show.
I decided to print some of my paintings (and some photos!) in tiny picture frames using Canva. Is this the coolest way of displaying my art? Probably.
If you’re an artist, I highly recommend doing this! Your art prints can go in a mini gallery, dollhouse display, or even a junk journal!
If you’re not an artist who draws, print some tiny photos!
Omygosh. Your artwork is so cute! And that cute little paw 🥺❤️
My art practice is focused on camera-less photography and my "tiny works" on antique photo paper—ranging 2.5" square to 2.5" x 3.5"—tend to be my absolute faves! I love matting and framing those and making viewers really lean in.
